Be Prepared. Stay Calm. Act with Confidence.
The WADI Rescue Diver Course empowers divers with critical rescue skills, emergency preparedness, and the ability to prevent and manage dive-related incidents—turning potential dangers into opportunities for leadership and safety.

Requirements

  • Be 15 years or older (12+ for Junior Rescue Diver)
  • • Hold a WADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
  • • Possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • 25 logged dives (to be verified)

The WADI Rescue Diver Course is designed for advanced recreational divers who are ready to take their skills and awareness to the next level. Built on WADI’s core philosophy—Prevent, Recognise, Respond—this course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on rescue training in both confined and open water environments.

Course Highlights:

  • Accident Prevention & Risk Management: Learn how to identify hazards, manage stress and panic, and conduct pre-dive safety checks.
  • Dive Planning & Emergency Protocols: Create effective dive and emergency action plans, and master underwater communication and coordination.
  • Emergency Scenarios & Rescue Techniques: Handle common incidents like air depletion, entanglement, DCS, and marine life injuries with composure and skill.
  • Search and Recovery Operations: Apply effective search patterns and practice recovering missing or unresponsive divers.
  • Post-Rescue Procedures: Focus on documentation, debriefing, and emotional support for both rescuers and victims.

The course features scenario-based learning, video-assisted techniques, and modular design, making it one of the most progressive rescue programs in the diving industry.
