  • Advanced diver certification or equivalent
  • 40 dives
  • 15years old

The WADI Rescue Diver Course is designed to build upon your existing diving experience and expand your understanding of dive safety and accident prevention. This comprehensive training programme focuses on developing your rescue skills, situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in various emergency scenarios.

Throughout the course, you will acquire essential skills such as recognising and managing stress in yourself and others, performing self-rescue techniques, and assisting in diver rescues. You will learn how to assess and respond to different types of diving-related emergencies, including panicked divers, unresponsive divers, and missing divers. By mastering these skills, you will gain the confidence and competence to handle challenging situations comfortably and efficiently.

The WADI Rescue Diver Course emphasises the importance of prevention and risk management. You will learn how to identify potential hazards, implement effective dive planning strategies, and prioritise diver safety at all times. Through interactive classroom sessions, practical exercises, and simulated rescue scenarios, you will develop critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.

In addition to honing your rescue skills, the course greatly emphasises teamwork and communication. You will work closely with your fellow divers, learning to function as part of a rescue team and effectively coordinate efforts during emergencies. These collaborative experiences foster a strong sense of camaraderie and instil valuable skills that extend beyond diving, making you a confident and reliable team player in any context.

By becoming a WADI Rescue Diver, you join a community of skilled divers dedicated to safety and preparedness. This certification serves as a stepping stone for those considering a professional career in diving or simply seeking to take their recreational diving to the next level. No matter your aspirations, the WADI Rescue Diver Course equips you with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to handle emergencies and ensure the well-being of yourself and your fellow divers.
